The name

Porto, harbor. Layla, home.

Porto is Italian for harbor, the place a boat comes back to.

Layla was our mini husky. For years she was the calm in a busy house, the one who was always there when we got home. When we lost her, the word that kept coming up was harbor.

“She was my safe harbor.”

Porto Layla is named for her.

The belt

Leather, and an anchor.

I designed the anchor buckle myself. It took many iterations and 3D-printed prototypes, from 2016 to today.

The belt is made by a leather maker in the United States, from Italian leather.

The first 20 belts we make are sizes small to medium. All sizes will be available after that.

Every tester's belt will have their initials stamped into it.

It is a new invention, and it is patent pending. We are working with a manufacturer, and before we commit to production we want to make sure this is the final product. That is where you come in.

How it works

    Sign up. Leave your name, email, belt size and mailing address below.
  2. II
    Receive your belt. The first 20 testers get one free, with no payment and no catch. These first belts are small to medium. They are being built now, so delivery will take about a month.
  3. III
    Wear it for a month, then keep it. Tell us what works and what doesn’t so we can make the final design right. The belt is yours to keep afterward.
